EUROPA
The old continent, our point of reference.
Historically Catalonia has always looked forward to Europe. As a transit country, it has received and incorporated all of the influences from the north.
Catalonia has always fallen itself to belong to the old continent. This explains why we decided to name this international exhibition using a word with which we feel identified, EUROPA. The Biennals Internacionals de Fotografia EUROPA were convened in Reus from 1973 to 1993.
Twenty years and eleven editions curated by Enric Pàmies, HonEFIAP. In 2012 we have recovered it with a renewed format but with the same desire of projecting the name of Reus and Catalonia to Europe and the rest of the world. The exhibition is based on an annual call and digital format. The intention is to convene it during autumn.
