International, intercontinental
Fortunately, the good wishes we expressed at the end of the presentation of the previous edition of our circuit have come true. With all due caution, the 7th Intercontinental Circuit 2022 has taken place just as normally as it did before the pandemic hit.
As such, the juries have been able to return to the usual format of delivering verdicts face-to-face, which helps them to work better and particularly to improve their exchange of opinions and their assessment of the photographs submitted.
We must therefore thank the photographers from all over the world who have once again entrusted us with their work by participating in our Intercontinental Circuit and we congratulate those who have won an award and/or been selected.
From the very start, our circuit has aimed to gather the best photography from around the world and to have it evaluated by juries from countries as diverse as those helping to organise the circuit. In doing so, we have certainly succeeded.
However, this diversity of the organising countries and the composition of the juries shows us that photography is truly a universal language. Despite this diversity, the highest-quality photographs stand out in the different countries according to the various juries.
Naturally, the award-winning photographs and photographers are not the same in the various salons. However, many photographers win multiple awards at various levels in the different salons, thereby demonstrating that an impactful high-quality photograph stands out regardless of the jury evaluating it.
Give all this, levels of participation were high again and we received 2,961 photographs from 262 photographers coming from 40 countries around the world, a new achievement in our circuit.
We look forward to seeing you again in 2023 with a new edition of our Intercontinental Circuit.
